President Lincoln freed the African-American slaves in the South during the Civil War, and psht, that was the end of things. No, it wasn't. People are still held in bondage today. Children, and young as four years old are being sold into sexual slavery. Yes, we know this exists, but we never talk about it, not really. Sexual slavery is the forced act of a helpless victim to do an act contrary to beliefs or morals for a type of profit. Sexual predators can gain quick access to a child's information through the Internet. Using their innocence, immaturity, or lack of, a predator can change a life forever. Look up registerd sex offenders on your local police website. It will surprise you to see how many are in your area. Talk to your children about staying safe. Let's find a way to protect those who don't have the support or protection from their parents. Let us try to help those who are victims to find healing and forgiveness. Let us break the bonds of this slavery.
